Die processing refers to the processing of forming and blanking tools, which also includes die cutting and shearing dies. Usually the die consists of an upper die and a lower die set, where the material is shaped by the action of a press, with the steel plate placed between the upper and lower die. When the press is opened, the workpiece determined by the shape of the die is obtained or the corresponding scrap is removed. Workpieces as large as an automotive dashboard or as small as an electronic connector can be formed with a die. A progressive die is a set of dies that can automatically move the machined workpiece from one station to another and obtain the molded part at the latter station. Die processing process includes: four-slide die, extrusion die, compound die, punching and cutting die, progressive die, stamping die, die cutting die, etc.
Basic features of die processing: 1. High processing accuracy. A pair of dies usually consists of a negative die, a positive die and a die frame, some of which can be multi-piece split modules. So the combination of upper and lower die, the combination of insert and cavity, and the combination between modules all require high processing precision.2、Complex shape and surface. Some products, such as automobile panels, aircraft parts, toys and household appliances, have molding surfaces consisting of various surfaces, so the mold cavity surfaces are very complex. Some surfaces have to be processed by mathematical calculation.3、Small batch. Mold production is not mass production, and often only one pair is produced in many cases.4、Many processes. Milling, boring, drilling, reaming and tapping are always used for mold processing.5、Repeat production. Long die life. When a pair of molds exceeds its life span, a new one is needed, so the production of molds is often repetitive.6、Profiling. Mold production sometimes has neither drawings nor data, and copy processing has to be done according to the real thing. This requires high precision of imitation and no deformation.
Mold processing processing process: 1, bottom surface processing, processing volume to ensure; 2, cast billet benchmark alignment, check the 2D margin and 3D contour; 3, rough machining of 2D and 3D contour, non-installation and non-working plane processing; 4, before semi-finishing, align the side datum surface to ensure accuracy; 5, semi-finishing 3D contour and 2D, semi-finishing various guide surfaces and guide holes, finishing various installation work surface, leaving margin finishing process datum hole and height datum surface, record data; 6, check and recheck machining accuracy; 7, clamp inlay process; align the datum surface of the process datum hole before finishing, check the margin of the inlay; 8, . Finishing contour 2D and 3D, punching contour and hole position, finishing guide surface and guide hole, finishing process datum hole and height datum; 9, check and recheck the machining accuracy.
Note: 1, the process is concise and detailed, processing content as much as possible with numbers; 2, to emphasize in particular the focus and difficulties of processing; 3, the need to combine the parts processed to express the process clearly; 4, when the inserts need to be processed separately, pay attention to the technical requirements of machining accuracy; 5, after the combination of processing, the inserts need to be processed separately, in the combination of processing should be installed when the benchmark requirements for independent processing; 6, the Spring in the mold processing is easy to damage, so you should choose a long fatigue life of the mold spring.
